Malaysia apa pun boleh! ( this has got to be my first political post )

Today i had the most epic trip to youth ever. I was already running late due to road blocks and traffic jam and reached the LRT station by car. Upon reaching the counter i found this long line of people waiting for their tickets. You could almost feel the tension as some people argue with the counter lady. When it was almost my turn the Chinese man and woman in front of me suddenly got very angry and the guy shouted "THOSE BASTARDS!!!" the poor counter lady looked as if the guy was going to beat her into bits or something. She tried suggesting to him to take the train to jelatik instead but he wouldn't listen. After another loud and irritating five minutes they decided to go with the counter lady's idea. There was only one problem with the whole commotion - The station next to Jelatik was Masjid Jamek. I needed to go to Masjid Jamek...

So i casually walked up to the counter and asked "Majid Jamek closed ar?" she nodded her head and thus began my impromptu backup plan.

Now this was the source of the problem. Apparently the PKR were holding an anti ISA demonstration in downtown. So 'you know who' being Kiasu and everything decided to make our day a living hell by setting up road blocks and police check ups everywhere. EVERYWHERE!! i mean what does a road block in Puchong have to do with the demonstration in downtown? It literally escapes the intelligent mind.. My father told me that after one hour of leaving Puchong, he was still stuck in Old Klang Road due to immovable traffic. Everywhere he turned, there were lines of cars. Just when we thought that the jam at mid valley was bad enough, the 'you know who' decided to make the first of August national traffic jam day!

As for what was really happening in downtown, apparently the police have been bored hell due to lack of attention action since the hindraf 'dandruff' incident and were itching to play with water like they never heard of sunway lagoon before..

The bomba must be wondering why the police wanted to 'borrow' their trucks...

Anyway back to the LRT, i wonder if anyone noticed but suddenly there were police officers at the station platforms of stations near Masjid Jamek shouting orders like nobody's business. As expected the train shot past the Masjid Jamek station. But not before i managed to see poor people stuck inside with nothing to do. they were literally as good as quarantined. they cant go out or they might be bathed in chemical water and they can't board the trains cause the police locked the station down. I bet the shops at the station had wonderful business selling junk food to 'refugees' all day.

Tell me seriously who wouldn't stay and hide in the station?

Oh as for me i arrived one hour plus late due to the train making stupidly long stops at each and every station for no apparent reason. the doors were open wide and no one was outside but the doors stayed open... oh the humanity.. I also found out that today is the day where all public transport increases price by Rm1. Seeing as driving is impossible, Rapid Kl just earned big bucks on the first day of price increase...

Yes, its now Rm3 for a U-bus ticket... its also the starting price when you enter a taxi... This is why everyone should start cycling since its healthier anyway...

And so the plot thickens

Behold ladybirds and butterflies, i have returned... seriously i still don't know how to make a blogger... anyway anyhow..

I have FINISHED my first semester at HELP university college. Its been a fun and entertaining experience so far. Somehow i've not really gotten used to college life yet. Sounds strange but yea... That's me.

Finishing the sem also means i now have like a month of sem break. *Claps hands in glee* and to kick start this joyous occasion, what better way than to hang out with your own college mates in a day of mindless fun at sunway lagoon? There seemed to be nothing wrong with this idea right? Wrong!

i still think the guy looks like eric wong...

IT RAINED...

Bummer right? Thank God i had a backup plan.

I decided instead to hang out with the high school friends instead. After a dramatic session of finding transport and crashing at KJ's house for 5 hours.. we finally left Serdang with Vic to meet Jo and Gary at Net Studio.

Of course on the way there we were hungry and had an awesome (and expensive) lunch at this new chicken rice restaurant whose name reminded us of another geng chou one near the pasar malam place.

Finally we went into NS (short for Net Studio) and started our old old favorite pass time: COD4...

sample pic: not NS and not us

Vic was surprisingly good this time round. He killed us more than i would have liked him too.

After COD4 (and cod5 which i have no comment) we tried a four player L4D session...

That's right Vic scream!

It was an awesome time filled with screaming and shouting and blasting zombie brains. The most memorable times would be the time where KJ and Vic kept falling into a shaft at the last map of "no mercy" they were seriously ridiculous wei.. I mean how many times do we have to pick you guys up?

Speaking of the last map, we had to restart the map like three times due to everyone going KIA (except me, i'm always the last to be incapacitated and i never 'died') Imagine this, we are having our last stand on the roof. we had 15 minutes to defend ourselves while the chopper closed in on our location. 15 minutes. This will seem like an eternity. We started to place obstacles around the radio tower: petrol bottles, propane tanks, etc. To our luck, there was another machine gun in the tower. We immediately deployed it on the roof. We utilized the same tactic back at the generator room. One mans the mounted gun, two will guard the gunner's left and right respectively and the final person will act as the rearguard (me) after about seven minutes and a tank later, the minigun place was overrun with zombies, another tank comes and throws Jo off the map, dead. i got knocked off the roof  by the throw but managed to land on the ledge. Moving along the sides of the ledge i land safely on the ground just in time to see Vic get pounded to death by the tank. Lo and behold it goes back upstairs after KJ and incaps him. I had two choices: 1) be a hero and try to save KJ, or 2) pick up Vic's unused health pack and heal myself  (I was at 16HP and that was on pain killers. Those who play this game would know that i can die at anytime) I tried being the hero and within one swing of the tank, the game was over.. Epic hor?

In the end we cheated by spawning endless amounts of gas tanks and Molotoves.. (yes we are shameless)

And back to sunway.. it seems the gang had a swell time... gah... you dont ever want to be in a situation where you have to choose between friends..

More pictures..

Still can't believe i missed it wei...

All in all we had a great time and although i regret not being able to go sunway due to weather conditions and transport problem, going NS and spending time with your old best friends was really worth it. Even if i had to sponsor a certain someone...

I shall now devote the rest of my mental energy trying to solve the complicated complicated complicated plot that Jo and I are working on. It is really really complicated, seriously...

And here we go again...

Okay.. so where to start? erm... hi guys i'm back after a very very very long time. spm's over and everyone is either working, learning to drive, in college or biting their nails waiting for NS. sry guys time to meet your maker.

Life after school is weird. sometimes i wake up at 6 (due to noisy sister) and start getting ready only to realise i've graduated. At first i was quite happy la. I mean i can finally watch all the anime and movies i want, i can finally learn to drive and i can concentrate on my writing (for a competition. support me ya. ideas are welcome) not to mention paino playing and computer gaming. Graduation this time was different for me. i did not cry at the end of the physics paper. everyone left without saying much goodbyes. there was no 'after party'. And while everyone else went to Prom i was in camp during what should be said the last time i'll ever see everyone again.

Everyone made promises to stay in touch. i can say i've only stayed in touch with my closest circle of frens. nothing much to brag about. Being alone in the house all by yourself (save visitations on a frequent basis) gets u thinking. Last month i watched an anime movie called "5 centimeters per second" of two frens torn apart by circumstances and how their distance affected them. i'll recommend it to anyone who like stories about friendship and love.

"Clannad - after story" is probably the one that hit me the most. the main character basically goes through the same thing i do. well at least at the start where he leaves school and graduates and starts stressing out over studying or work. the series almost comes alive in that sense - about how changes in our lives are bound to happen.

I dunno la i've been prone to stare off into space just thinking about life and the road ahead. it seams scary sometimes to be honest. somehow a part of me wishes for things to be simpler. instead of every decision holding such immense weight and consequences. honestly computer games and story books and even work is used to push these things aside. i hope i am not making things too complicated this way.

The last year many things have happend and lots of mistakes were made. the idea of moving on is both a welcoming and saddening one. But i guess eventualy everyone has to move on or they'll be living in the past.

Argh i cant concentrate due to some other worldly influence. (you know who you are) Soo..

When i have something better to say - Samuel Goh

By the way victor... episode 18 so lol man the ending.
